The National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water and the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Science and Engineering agree to establish a center for smart digital technology
Casablanca – The National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water and the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Science and Engineering on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly create a center for smart digital.
A statement told the office that this memorandum of understanding, signed by Mr. André Azoulay, the head of the Foundation for research, development and innovation in science and engineering, and the director general of the National Office of he electricity and drinking water, Mr. Abdel Rahim Al-Hafithi, is part of a partnership to develop scientific research, innovation and training.
The same source explained that this center, which will be built within the walls of the Center of Science and Technology of Electricity of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water of Casablanca, will contain experimental platforms that will allow the implementation of projects in the field of training. , experience, research and development of interest in various specialized applications of artificial intelligence in specific sectors that will help promote the transfer of technology to national skills.
This partnership will also allow the various national industrial sectors, as well as the partners of the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water in certain sub-Saharan African countries, which maintain cooperative relations, particularly in the field of Electricity Science Training and Technology Center, which is ranked among the distinctive African centers in the electricity sector, to benefit from education and training.
The communication concluded that artificial intelligence, which is an integral part of the strategic orientations of the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water, will contribute to the development of new mechanisms, in particular with regard to the maintenance of installations, the digitization of networks and the rehabilitation of the human element.
