Two different battery sizes
Volkswagen offers its compact SUV with two different battery sizes: the versions “Pure” and “Pure Performance” carry a 52 kWh battery and display up to 345 km of autonomy while the model “Pro Performance” takes advantage of a 77 kWh battery with up to 520 km of autonomy.
Three power levels, soon to be four
Three power levels are also on the menu: 148 hp on the “Pure” version, 170 hp for “Pure Performance” and 204 hp for the “Pro Performance” version. In this last configuration, the most powerful, the ID.4 reaches 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds. All variants offer the same top speed capped at 160 km / h.
In the course of the year will also be launched a four-wheel drive model with an additional engine at the front for a total power which should be 306 horsepower and 450 Nm. This version will be called ID.4 GTX.
Seven finishes
In the meantime, and to make it even more difficult for customers to choose from, Volkswagen is adding seven levels of equipment, including six for individuals: “City”, “Style”, “Life”, “Family”, ” Tech “and” Max “. The first two are only available with the small 52 kWh battery. The others with that of 77 kWh.
The entry-level “City” has LED projectors, a central 10-inch screen with GPS navigation, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and leather steering wheel, and even a charger. induction.
Above, “Style” adds IQ.Light – Matrix LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, the “Keyless Access Advanced” keyless opening and closing system and a rear view camera.
“Life” for its part wins 19-inch alloy wheels as well as a “Silver” Style exterior package and black roof, while “Family” stands out thanks to a panoramic glass roof and 3-zone automatic air conditioning.
“Tech” is full of equipment with a 12-inch central screen, an augmented reality head-up display, front seats with massage function, the 360 ° “Area View” camera system and the driving assistant. Travel Assist ‘with’ Side Assist ‘.
Finally, the top of the range “Max” adds a controlled damping system and a heat pump.
