In 2020, the French automotive industry suffered the full brunt of the coronavirus crisis, with a decline of nearly 25% in sales. At the same time, the sector is under intense pressure to achieve even further reductions in polluting emissions, which is leading to the development of new technologies such as electricity.

It is therefore the right time to take stock with the representative of the automotive industry in France, Luc Châtel. Former minister, and in particular of the industry at the time of the 2008 crisis, since 2017 he has been the president of the Automotive Platform (PFA), the structure that brings together all the automotive players in France, from the new Stellantis to the Renault group. , but also equipment manufacturers and subcontractors such as Valeo, Michelin, Faurecia, etc.
