this is what the production Nissan 400Z will look like 4

The security valves around the secrets of the Nissan 400Z are leaking. Some photos and videos of the production model have surfaced on social media, just to give us a glimpse of her look.

Big leak at Nissan! Seemingly surprised during transport, the Nissan 400Z is not as secret as it used to be. Videos and photos currently circulating on the Web have revealed its look and let us know what the highly anticipated sports car will look like. As you can see, the coupe closely echoes the ‘Z Proto’ concept : same retro-inspired front fairing, rectangular grille, elegant headlights which now have orange indicators, a sign of an approval in progress or imminent for the American market.

Continuing to look at the car from the sides, we can see clean lines that are retained from the Z Proto. That being said, the production model has slightly different door handles and red reflectors above the rear wheels have been fitted. It’s also worth mentioning that two different cars are featured in the currently circulating photos and videos as one has a shiny black roof, while the other is painted gray.

Better than the concept?

The style of the concept is easily identifiable on this production version. The model uses the main stylistic codes while by providing some details that show that the Japanese sports car is approaching mass production. The videos also offer a glimpse of the interior where we can see a digital instrument panel and a modern infotainment system. A steering wheel with a well-known architecture but also modernized and a slightly different central console with a gear lever for an automatic transmission are required in the cabin.

The Nissan 400Z is expected to debut later this year with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine borrowed from the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400. There, it produces 406 horsepower and 474 Nm of torque. It will certainly do the same under the hood of the sporty Nissan, if not a little more. This block will likely be paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, but a six-speed manual transmission should also be available.
