To jump as well as possible when stationary, the new BMW M4 uses a very special technique.
The all-new BMW M4 retains the same technical architecture as the previous version. It is still a propulsion equipped with a supercharged in-line six, strong 510 horsepower in Competition version. But unlike the old one, it no longer has a double-clutch gearbox.

It prefers a simple eight-speed automatic transmission, which for the first time can transmit its power to the optional four wheels and no longer simply to the rear axle. The car has a 100% propulsion version for purists. And when carrying out the launch control, the transmission operates a very specific procedure.
Start in second!
As you can see, the car prefers to start in second to perform the exercise. The engine speed stalls at around 2,500 rpm, then the car reaches 100 km / h in a period close to the official figure (0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds).
