If you have a car and are bored with its looks, there are several solutions. Sell it, repaint it or completely modify it. Rafique Isam often gets bored of his Nissan Navara, but he always has ideas.
Despite the imminent arrival of the new Nissan Navara in 2022, Nissan pickups aren’t known to turn heads the way a Ford F-150 Raptor or the latest Ram 1500 TRX do. No, Nissan vehicles are pretty reliable and unpretentious. But the owner of this Nissan Navara NP300 has other ideas. In the video below, we bring you a modified Navara that you wouldn’t want to encounter in a dark alley. Much of that is down to its massive 22-inch wheels and 33-inch tires. But not only !
The pick-up preparation enthusiast responsible for this Navara is called Rafique Isam. For this Nissan Navara, he didn’t just equip this dump utility with big wheels and big tires. This Navara also has a specific front bumper designed to appear sturdier and a blue underbody lighting system. A little kitsch! Although Rafique Isam says the suspension remained original, a kit of springs allowing the body to be raised by a few centimeters has been installed. It’s probably essential to accommodate those giant wheels and tires.
The most stylish of all?
Originally painted in Salvana Orange, this modified version sports a green body. At the rear, we notice that the lights have been smoked. Then again, it might be a bit “too much”, but it makes the Navara even more aggressive. Isam admits that the changes are very slightly inspired by the Navara PRO-4X, without having the technical and financial means. This is the System-D version of this ultra-adventurous variant.
Isam is so obsessed with modifying pickups that this same Navara has been lowered before and has had multiple appearances. He had 16 to 20 inch rims before opting for these huge 22 inch models. If Isam gets bored with the current look he will change it again.
Under the hood, the air filter has been replaced by a more efficient model while the engine control unit has given way to a Prospeed Shark model which allows to optimize the capacities of the block. The turbo of this Diesel engine is however original, but the small changes made allow it to develop 226 horsepower against 160 horsepower for the base NP300. As if that doesn’t sound wild enough, Isam plans to upgrade the suspension and install a body kit in the future. It may never be able to be as rugged and look as mean as a Ford F-150 Raptor, but it will make its owner happy!
