As the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 seemed too nice to them, the Russian wizards at Topcar Design decided to make it much meaner, especially with a good dose of carbon fibers.
We are living in the golden age of the high performance automobile. With cars of all shapes and sizes delivering insane levels of performance. Take for example the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupé. This SUV is a real anvil, can carry a large family and its belongings, but is still able to hold out on many sports cars. It’s a real super-SUV. But once again, there is always room for improvement. Russian preparer Topcar Design has just tackled the German coupe SUV: the end result is nicknamed Inferno.
Topcar Design is very proud to announce that their body kit for the GLE Coupe consists of 25 individual parts and although the parts are still only digital sketches… this GLE Inferno promises to be tough! Production of the necessary components is expected to begin by January, while the first model equipped with the full body kit is expected to be released by April.
More aggressive than AMG
From what we’re seeing on early digital renderings, the kit will add a fair amount of carbon fiber parts to the bodywork, including a full carbon hood, front spoiler and multiple air intakes. The side sills, as well as a mudguard will also be in carbon. Mirror covers, trunk spoiler and rear diffuser will also be entitled to this treatment. Customers will have the option of leaving the carbon fiber exposed or covering it with paint to match the body.
Under the hood, the GLE 63 Coupé is as powerful as ever: powered by un 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combined with a 48-volt light hybrid system, total power reaches 612 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. This is enough to allow him to swallow the 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds… Impressive for such a juggernaut! As for the price, it has not yet been announced, but a similar kit for its little brother GLC Coupé already costs more than 836,000 rubles, or around 9,400 euros.
