Some cars leave little mark in the history of the automobile, for lack of success. Here are 5 recent models that can now be found at a very low price.
As soon as it is launched, as soon as it is forgotten, that is how the commercial career of certain cars can be summed up. Far from being bad products, a multitude of factors can explain this failure. The good thing is that now these cars are traded second-hand at tight prices, which allows original car enthusiasts to realize good business.
Peugeot 4008 (2012-2016)
Sharing its technical sheet with the Mitsubishi ASX (which still exists) and the Citroën C4 Aircross, the Peugeot 4008 struggled to find its place within the range, where it duplicated the 3008 “House”. The exterior is delusional, but the Japanese interior does not display the level of French productions. The 4008 is however a very good SUV, which today trades between 8,000 and 15,000 € depending on the state.
Alfa GT (2003-2010)
With the Brera which shared the catalog until 2010, the Alfa GT remains the last cut “mass” from Alfa Romeo, before the niche 4C models. Based on the platform of the 156, this GT brings together the dynamic qualities expected of an Alfa, especially in its most powerful versions, including the one animated by a 240 hp 3.2l V6. Its price is bordering on ridiculous today: between 2,000 and 9,000 €; But beware of kilometer-long copies.
Nissan Cube (2008-2011)
For the launch of the third generation in Japan, the Nissan cube also tried the European adventure. This clever urban minivan with a special design was not lacking in assets, to start with generous interior space and a 1.5 dCi diesel engine supplied by Renault at a time when diesel was king. Today it has lost none of its charm for those who are sensitive to it. Count between 5,000 to 8,000 € for a vehicle in perfect condition.
Renault Wind (2010-2012)
Attention, collector in sight! In 2010, Renault offered an astonishing Roadster version of the Twingo: the Wind, which shared its platform and most of its components with the famous urban chip. She added a original rotating hardtop around a central axis, which “turns” in the trunk. Too original, too expensive or not sporty enough? Perhaps it is a combination of the three that has plagued his career. Still, if you are looking for a low-cost roadster, it’s time to crack, the cheapest copies start under 5,000 €!
Seat Toledo (2005-2009)
In the mid-2000s, the minivan was king and rubbed off on all market segments. Seat therefore had the idea of renewing its sedan Toledo by proposing a trunk variant of its compact MPVAltea. It is therefore a sedan with a monovolume tendency, as were its contemporaries Renault Vel Satis and Opel Signum … and has hardly known more success. 4,000 € are enough today to find a beautiful copy.
