Opel presented the 100% electric version of its MPV, the Combo-e Life, powered by an electric motor of 136 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque.
After presenting the 100% electric utility version Opel Combo-e Cargo, the blitz firm lifts the veil on the family version, the Opel Combo-e Life, which is none other than the signed Opel version of the new Peugeot e- Rifter and Citroën ë-Berlingo. And like its French cousins, the German MPV unsurprisingly adopts the e-GMP electric motor from the Stellantis group, made in France near Metz.
New Opel Combo-e Life (2021): 136 horsepower and 280 km of range
This develops a power of 136 horses (100 kW), allowing 0 to 100 km / h in 11.2 seconds, with a maximum speed electronically limited to 130 km / h. Combined with a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Opel Combo-e Life offers mixed range of 280 km (WLTP), and is aimed primarily at urban families.
Many charging possibilities are possible, ranging from the wallbox to the fast charging station, including the simple household outlet. With a 100 kW direct current public terminal, it is possible to regain up to 80% autonomy in about 30 minutes, thanks to an 11 kW three-phase on-board charger or a 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger, depending on the versions.
Housed under the floor, the battery does not reduce the space on board, with several versions available from 5 to 7 seats, offering a trunk volume ranging from 597 to 850 liters depending on the version, which can reach 2,693 liters once the seats rear folded. All the equipment of the thermal version of the Opel Combo Life is still available, not to mention the OpelConnect connected services, and the myOpel and Free2Move applications providing access to a network of charging stations.
The new Opel Combo-e Life will be marketed in the fall of 2021, at prices to be announced later. It will complete Opel’s electrified model range, which already includes the Corsa-e, Mokka-e, Grandland X plug-in hybrid, and Zafira-e Life. The utility versions Vivaro-e, Combo-e and Movano-e, will also be launched by the end of the year.
