Dacia has already registered more than 1,000 pre-orders for the Spring, its first 100% electric model, available since March 20.
3.73 m long (for 1.58 m wide, 1.51 m high, 2.42 m wheelbase and up to 620 liters of boot space), a SUV look (ground clearance raised by 15 cm, widened wheel arches, roof bars, gray rear ski …), a small engine of 44 hp (125 Nm of torque and 125 km / h peak) and a range of 230 km according to the WLTP cycle (up to 305 km in WLTP City).
On paper, the Spring, Dacia’s first 100% electric model, has a few arguments to make, especially when you know its price: € 16,990 at entry level, i.e. € 12,403 deducted ecological bonus (LED daytime running lights, manual air conditioning and speed limiter are standard here).
The cheapest electric car on the market
An unbeatable price that makes the city car the car cheapest zero emissions on the French market, if we put aside the Citroën Ami and Renault Twizy, considered quadricycles. Enough to ensure a golden future and best-seller status?
It is still too early to tell since Dacia only opened its pre-order book on March 20. But the first returns are already encouraging.
Over 1,000 pre-orders already registered
Contacted, the manufacturer has indeed told us to have already registered more than 1,000 pre-orders via Dacia.fr. In addition, more than 2,500 test requests were also made on the site. Customers can therefore now discover and try out the Dacia Spring in the network.
But the most enthusiastic will have to be patient since lhe first deliveries to individuals are not expected until the fall.
