Audi unveils the first photos and information concerning the new and second generation of RS 3 LMS, TCR version dedicated to customer racing.
Audi passes the second! The German manufacturer has just unveiled the second generation of RS 3 LMS, TCR version dedicated to customer competition. Still camouflaged, the model was presented in virtual premiere at Audi Sport at Neubourg-sur-le-Danube, in southern Germany, on February 5.
Audi RS 3 LMS improved in many areas
Taking the design of the last A3 sedan, this second opus was “improved in many areas “, announces the mark with the four rings.
“We want to offer the teams a car that performs even better than before,” confirms Chris Reinke, head of racing for Audi Sport customers.
10 hp more than the previous RS 3 LMS
The new RS 3 LMS notably pulls 340 hp and 420 Nm of torque 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. It is 10 hp more than its predecessor. A six-speed sequential transmission and a new cooling system are also on the program;
On the design side, the beast can be recognized among other things by its imposing black grille, its round central exhaust outlet and its huge fixed rear spoiler.
“Affordable to buy”
Audi does not say more for the moment, but announces that the model “remains affordable to purchase and maintain, offers an even higher level of safety and provides great driving pleasure.”

Launched at the end of 2016, the first generation RS 3 LMS was produced in 180 units. In just over four years of existence, it has secured 764 podium places in 1,051 races worldwide, including 279 victories. It has notably won 16 driver’s championship titles and 38 championship successes, including the title of TCR Model of the Year 2018.
