Total inaugurated the largest station in France dedicated to Natural Gas for Vehicles (NGV) and bioNGV, in Gennevilliers (92). This station will be open 24 hours a day to individuals and professionals.
Located in Gennevilliers (Hauts-de-Seine), in the heart of Europe’s second river port, this station was inaugurated by Total and Sigeif Mobilités (a local mixed economy company), and becomes a strategic distribution point for NGV (Natural Gas for Vehicles) and bioNGV for Greater Paris: “Total’s ambition is clear: to become a leader in the distribution of NGV and bioNGV in Europe, with 450 stations in operation by 2025, including 110 in France. “ explains Guillaume Larroque, President of Total Marketing France.
Natural gas for vehicles: a station open 24 hours a day near Paris
This new Total station, open 24 hours a day to individuals and professionals, distributes CNG in the form of compressed natural gas, and is the first station of its kind in France to be connected to the GRTgaz high pressure gas network, to save the required energy and CO emissions2 induced.
It can accommodate all types of natural gas fuel vehicles, from private cars to 45-ton heavy goods vehicles, with 4 distribution tracks for NGV and bioNGV equipped with the two standard filling guns (NGV1 and NGV2). It is also able to distribute up to 100% bioNGV, with customers having the option of choosing among several biomethane incorporation rates (20%, 50% and 100%).
For the moment, three Total stations distributing CNG are accessible in Île-de-France: at the Port of Gennevilliers (92), at the Halles de Rungis in Orly (94), as well as at Noisy-le-Grand (93 ), but other similar stations will soon be opened by Total throughout the Paris region.
