The German group Mercedes-Benz, ex Daimler, announces the production of its 50 millionth car in the space of 75 years, i.e. since the end of the Second World War.
It’s a symbolic production figure that Mercedes-Benz (ex-Daimler) has just passed. The car division of the German group, which brings together the Mercedes and Smart brands, celebrated on February 12 the manufacture of its 50 millionth vehicle in the space of 75 years.
The 50 millionth Mercedes is the most exclusive of the S-Class
The anniversary model rolled off the assembly lines at the Sindelfingen, Germany plant. It’s about first copy of the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, in a two-tone black and silver livery, to which Jörg Burzer, one of the manufacturer’s board members, posed all smiles to celebrate the event.
“Mercedes-Benz has always been synonymous with luxury. That is why I am very proud of this anniversary”, confided the manager. “50 million vehicles produced is a milestone in the history of our company, and an exceptional result for all employees,” he added.
