Happy Birthday, Jeep! The famous brand of 4×4 was launched in 1941, with these famous off-road cars that equipped the US military. Soon after, the brand decides to sell its cars to the general public, then building the first large series 4×4 in history. After decades of developments, Jeep is now capitalizing on a booming SUV market, perfect for a brand with a rich history dedicated to these vehicles. Jeep is also one of the most profitable brands of the FCA group, recently integrated into Stellantis.
To celebrate its birthday, Jeep puts the small dishes in the big ones and launches special series “80th Anniversary” on each model in its range: the Wrangler, Compass, Renegade, as well as on the Gladiator, not available in France.
These special series will essentially be a new level of finish, reserved for 2021. They are mostly aesthetic, with touches of granite gray and “Since 1941” badges everywhere, inside and out. There are also specific rims, new upholstery, as well as option packs that go into series on these versions.
Jeep Compass gets a makeover inside
The most notable novelty, however, concerns the arrival of a restyled Jeep Compass, available initially only in the 80th Anniversary version. While waiting for the “classic” version of the model, Jeep is already showing a completely redesigned interior, with a more modern dashboard, a larger screen, and a quality of finish which promises to be improving. This revised and corrected Compass will be available in spring in France, we can therefore expect to receive more details, especially on the prices and engines of the model, in the coming weeks.
Finally, Jeep takes the opportunity to launch its loyalty program, Jeep Wave. The program offers the first two interviews after purchasing a 2021 Jeep, roadside assistance, priority customer service and invitations to events the brand is a partner of. Jeep Wave is included with the purchase of a 2021 Jeep, and is available for purchase to owners of older models.
