Hyundai unveils a first interior photo of the Ioniq 5, its future 100% electric compact SUV, whose presentation is scheduled for February 23.
The teasing campaign continues around Ioniq 5, the future 100% electric compact SUV from Hyundai. A few days after the first exterior shots of the machine, which “showed” in the half-light, here is now the first photo on board the model.
The South Korean manufacturer publishes an “aerial” photo of the interior, taken from above. We thus discover a rather spacious interior, quite elegant and visibly high-tech since we guess a large digital panel behind the wheel.
Maximum habitability for the Ioniq 5
Hyundai announces in particular that the car will inaugurate the group’s new modular E-GMP platform (Electric-Global Modular Platform), designed exclusively for the new generation of battery electric vehicles, which will allow it to display a long wheelbase and to have a flat floor for a maximum habitability. Even more roominess by being able to free up a little more space at the front by sliding the passenger seat at the same time as the central console.
To maximize space and provide more for second row occupants, Hyundai has also reduced the thickness of these front seats by about 30%. Comfort has not been forgotten since the model will be equipped with two fully reclining relaxation seats in the front.
An eco-responsible SUV
The brand also promises durable materials with special leather, organic paint (for the dashboard, the steering wheel or even the storm doors) and natural and recycled fibers.
Presentation and opening of reservations on February 23
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will make its world premiere on February 23. In certain European markets, including France, he will begin his commercial career the same day with a special series called “Project 45”. Limited to only 3,000 copies, it can be reserved online via a dedicated site.
