Formula E has unveiled part of its calendar, while the French round is postponed to the following season.
Formula E Season 7 will take place without Paris. It was predictable, because of the Covid. The provisional calendar for the 2021 season also has a good number of absentees: Seoul, Berlin, London and New York are not currently on the program of the 100% electric championship. A situation reminiscent of that of F1, whose calendar has already been shaken up.
New announcements planned for spring
The season will start, as planned, with two rounds in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The races will be held on February 26 and 27. There will then be a break of more than a month, before a return to Europe on April 10 in Rome, even if this date seems very optimistic. The fourth round will be held at the Vallelunga circuit in Spain on April 24. On this permanent circuit, which will be slightly modified for the occasion, it will be easier to run sold out, and to guarantee the safety of all participants.
Then it will be the turn of Monaco, for an e-Prix which should be held for the first time on the complete circuit, identical to the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Formula E will then travel to Marrakech, then Santiago in Chile for two events. The calendar is obviously only provisional, and should be supplemented by other races. We will know more in the spring.
