Quadruple Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel is turning a new page in his career by joining Aston Martin. The other page he turns is in his garage: he has decided to part with some of his jewelry.
He was a true purist! If there was one model to have by brand, he had it in his collection. Vettel has a habit of being very discreet about his private life: few details about his car collection were known, but no less than eight of his cars were put up for sale through Tom Hartley Junior in the UK. . The three most popular are a 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari, a 2004 Enzo and a 1996 F50. As of this writing, the LaFerrari and Enzo had already been sold, though no pricing has been made public.
As for the F50, it was bought by Vettel in 2015 during his first year with Scuderia Ferrari in F1. It only has 6,939 km on the clock and is sold with its hard top, roll bars, Ferrari Classiche certification documents, luggage set, a spare key, a Ferrari car cover… In short, the total!
A gold mine
Vettel separates from two other Ferraris. The first is a 2016 F12 TDF which he bought new and which has only driven 1,183 km. It is painted in Giallo Triplo Strato, a specific yellow. This TDF sits on 20-inch Diamond forged wheels and features the “Vettel” logo embroidered on the headrests. There is also a 458 Speciale also bought new by Vettel and sold with only 3,077 km on the odometer.
Three other models from the Vettel collection are also available. These include a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series given to him following his victory at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG from 2010 and a BMW Z8 Roadster from 2002. In short, rare gems.
