Devoid of Cavallino Rampante and Ferrari logo, the F40 LM Barchetta was never recognized by the manufacturer of Maranello. And frankly, we understand why!
The ultimate creation of Enzo Ferrari, the F40 is one of the most exceptional models of the Maranello brand. For its technicality, its twin-turbo V8 engine of 478 hp and its exceptional performance for the time (it was released in 1987) with a top speed of 324 km / h and a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 3.9 seconds .

However, a few years ago, the Belgian driver Jean Blaton did not hesitate to touch the myth. A real heresy which will have provoked the wrath of Ferrari which demanded to remove the Cavallino Rampante and the name of the mark of this very special specimen! And for good reason, he had asked the official Ferrari dealer and preparer Michelotto Automobili to remove the roof of his F40 LM in order to transform it into a tray.
Another modification, the twin-turbo V8 develops 760 horsepower on this Barchetta version which allows you to enjoy the wind blowing hair, the incredible sound of the beast. Especially when it is launched in the Raidillon de l’Eau Rouge on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Anyway, nothing beats a good old original Ferrari F40 LM!
