Dacia unveils the prices of its first 100% electric model. The Spring city car starts at € 16,990, or € 12,403 ecological bonus deducted. It is the cheapest zero emission car on the market.

It was expected, it is now official: the Spring, first 100% electric model of Dacia, is indeed the cheapest zero-emission vehicle on the French market, if we put aside the Citroën Ami and Renault Twizy classified in the category of quadricycles.

€ 12,403 with the ecological bonus!

Romanian manufacturer will open its pre-order book on March 20 next and already announcing a first prize of € 16,990, or only € 12,403 with the ecological bonus deducted (limited to 27% of the sale price).

By way of comparison, the Renault Twingo Electric starts at € 21,350 before deduction of the bonus.

Two trim levels

At this unbeatable price, the Spring is available inentry-level with the “Comfort” level which includes LED daytime running lights, manual air conditioning, automatic lights, speed limiter and automatic emergency braking as standard.

Invoiced an additional € 1,500, i.e. from € 18,490, or € 13,500 once the bonus has been deducted, the top finish called “Comfort Plus” is a little more fleshed out since it gains a central 7-inch screen with GPS navigation, rear radars and a reversing camera. It also benefits from a metallic paint and the interior and exterior Orange decor pack.

44 hp and 230 km of autonomy for the Spring

On the engine side, the 3.73 m long city car (for 1.58 m wide, 1.51 m high, 2.42 m wheelbase and up to 620 liters of boot space) and SUV look (ground clearance raised by 15 cm, widened wheel arches, roof bars and gray rear ski …), is equipped with a small block of 44 hp and 125 Nm of torque. What to authorize him a top speed of 125 km / h.

A 26.8 kWh lithium-ion battery is also in place for a range of 230 km according to the WLTP cycle, even 305 km in WLTP City (homologation cycle comprising only the urban part of the homologated cycle). Charging to 80% takes less than an hour on a DC 30 kW fast charging station. For a full charge, count 5 hours on a 7.4 kW Wallbox or a public terminal and up to 14 hours on a 2.3 kW domestic socket (cable supplied as standard).

Three versions of Spring

The Dacia Spring will first be marketed in March in a Business version intended for companies and carsharing. (€ 16,800 or € 12,264 with the bonus).

The first deliveries to individuals are expected in autumn 2021. A utility version (including a trunk that extends in place of the rear seat), called Spring Cargo and dedicated to professionals, will also see the light of day in 2022.
