One year after retouching its little C3, Citroën is switching its C3 Aircross SUV, launched in 2017, through the restyling box. The evolutions are above all aesthetic. Presentation…
Launched in 2017, the C3 Aircross is currently the second model Citroën the most sold in France. With 30,165 units sold in 2020, it is indeed behind the C3 III and its 58,547 units sold. Since the start of its marketing, 330,000 copies have even found buyers. However, after more than three years of career, the time has already come for the urban SUV to go through the restyling box.
A more aggressive, more adventurous look
And double surprise: not only the brand has decided to review the design of its model, despite its success in concession, but in addition it is not content to provide the same evolutions as the C3, restyled just a year ago.
Indeed, if the new C3 Aircross displays, like the city car, a front face revised, with in particular the chevrons of the grille which extend to the LED headlamps forming a double chrome bar, it especially sports a much more massive specific shield and much more imposing than before. The SUV thus trades its round and jovial face for a more serious and more aggressive look.
Always more personalization
Still outside, Citroën is also announcing an extensive customization offer including three new colors (Khaki Gray, Voltaic Blue and White Banquise) and new rim designs. In the end, 70 customization combinations are now offered by the brand.
Alterations welcome inside
On the stern side, however, no change. Ditto on board since we find the same interior layout as on the current C3 Aircross. We will note all the same the arrival of a larger central touch screen, whose size increases from 7 to 9 inches, and a central console revised. The “Advanced Comfort” seats, with thickened foam and already seen on the restyled C3 and the new C4, are also making their appearance. At the rear, the bench is still sliding and the boot volume remains between 410 and 1,289 liters.
Finally, on the engine side, no big surprise since the Puretech petrol units of 110 (BVM6) and 130 hp (EAT6) are being renewed, as are the BlueHDI 110 (BVM6) and 120 hp (EAT6).
What price for the restyled C3 Aircross?
Prices should also change little with an entry-level price probably always set below 20,000 € (€ 18,500 today for the “Live” version hosted by the PureTech 110 BVM). The new C3 Aircross will arrive in dealerships from June 2021.
