Brabus has just unveiled a new performance upgrade kit for the Mercedes-AMG A45 S, surprisingly named B45-450. Still, the smaller AMG has become even sportier.
Already equipped with the most powerful 4-cylinder in the world, the Mercedes-AMG A 45s still has it under its feet. To exploit the best performance of AMG engines, one of the specialists is called Brabus. We do not teach you anything, the German preparer has already transformed many Star models into real monsters. Precisely, the new performance improvement pack includes a new engine mapping, as well as the Brabus PowerXtra CPC control unit which allows performance to be delivered in the best way.
Another improvement from Brabus is the Brabus BoostXtra adapter. It allows the turbocharged engine to emit “A whistle of sporty turbo like on a racing car”, which is rather excellent news for tuning enthusiasts who want to feel like driving a car worthy of the vehicles of the Fast and Furious saga. These slight modifications to the engine block allow the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to develop 29 hp and 50 Nm more. This brings the total to 450 horsepower and 550 Nm.
Even stronger
Brabus claims that the 0 to 100 km / h takes just 3.7 seconds, compared to 3.9 seconds for the original model. On the other hand, the maximum speed remains unchanged: 270 km / h. In addition, Brabus offers a set specific, height-adjustable sport springs that can lower the supercharged compact by 30 mm. The German preparer also offers new 20-inch “Monoblock Z” alloy wheels. The new wheels feature ten spokes with polished surfaces and offer “Exceptional strength and lightweight construction”, in the words of Brabus.
The interior of this Mercedes-AMG A45s Brabus has stainless steel trim with the Brabus logo which can illuminate in 64 different colors in accordance with the ambient lighting. Aluminum ‘Brabus’ monogrammed pedals and velor floor mats are also a must.
The Brabus upgrade pack for the Mercedes-AMG A45s comes with a three-year warranty, a good point for these kinds of modifications which tend to push the engine blocks to their limits.
