Tuner Lumma Design took care of one of the world’s most luxurious and sporty SUVs, the Aston Martin DBX. So dressed, it will be more difficult to venture off the beaten track. But was this really his vocation?

It is certain, with such front and rear bumpers, the DBX prepared by Lumma Design no longer has the same angles of attack and flight as the production model. But who would dare to expose such a machine to unpaved roads?

It is certainly an SUV, but the main interests of such a machine are its dominant driving position and its great roominess. At worst, those who see a real interest in its 4-wheel drive transmission to reach their mountain chalet, will act as a snow plow. Convenient !

Exclusive from every angle

The German tuner is familiar with extra-wide body kits that can be recognized at first glance. This kit called CLR AM is a worthy representative of the genre. Combined with reduced ground clearance, it makes the British SUV much more threatening. Even if it retains its air suspension at variable height.

Lumma Design only plans to produce 20 body kits to make this DBX even more exclusive. And hardly any body element is spared: at the front, the spoiler blade, the grille and the air intakes on the hood have been redesigned and made of carbon fibers.

We especially notice the huge fender wideners and side skirts which accommodate even wider rims. While at the rear, the standard shield is completely replaced by a Lumma Design model with integrated diffuser, obviously also all in carbon. Let’s not forget a new roof spoiler.

Finally, on board, carbon fiber covers many trimmings, including on the steering wheel and pedals!

Nothing new under the hood

The DBX is already well off as standard with its V8 – 4.0-liter twin-turbo 550 hp from Mercedes AMG. Lumma Design has not yet leaned under the hood but does not rule out doing so soon, to perform a small engine optimization and some chassis adjustments.

It remains to be seen if Lumma Design can really improve performance, which is currently rather good with a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 292 km / h. On the other hand, it is certain that with a new exhaust, this DBX would certainly take on a new dimension. That is also planned …
