A Dutch designer has embarked on the crazy project of making a station wagon inspired by the Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 “Panther Shooting Brake”, derived from the legendary Daytona. The Ferrari station wagon sketch was posted on the designer’s Facebook page.

It is a project to say the least astonishing: a Ferrari station wagon. Niels Van Roij, a Dutch designer is not at his first attempt. After the Tesla Model S and the Ferrari 550 Maranello, the designer tackles the Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 Daytona.

This station wagon will undergo numerous design modifications, it will also be designed from the chassis of a Ferrari 599 GTB. And that’s not all : ” bespoke headlights will be designed and the hood line as well as the fenders and front bumper will be modified. At the rear, the car will undergo most of the modifications with a new roofline, redesigned rear fenders and different taillights. Of course, the butterfly rear windows will be back. », Details Niels Van Roij on his Facebook page.

Its engine should not be affected since this Ferrari already has an atmospheric 6.0-liter V12 developing 620 horsepower.

A remarkable tribute to the Ferrari Daytona

The goal of this artist is indeed to pay tribute to the Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 Daytona “Panther Shooting Brake”, produced by the British coachbuilder Panther Westwinds. The idea for this model would come from Luigi Chinetti Jr., the son of the famous American importer of Ferrari.

So to follow the design of this model, the Dutch design will publish all the modifications made to the Ferrari on social networks. The most curious will thus be able to follow day after day the astonishing transformation of a supercar into a station wagon.
