Supercars are generally overpriced in the second-hand market. However, there is an alternative: scrutinize auctions of confiscated cars.
Sometimes cars become the property of a state justice. This is usually confiscated vehicles following bankruptcies, debts or cases of banditry. Acquiring a car with a sulphurous past can pose an ethical problem for more than one. But sometimes there is a way to find great deals.
Among the lots offered, there are powerful German road cars and, more rarely, supercars. The SPF Finance, which represents Belgian justice, offers two machines with legendary coats of arms which makes more than one dream!
Ferrari 550 Maranello and McLaren MP4-12C at “friendly price”
A Ferrari 550 Maranello (1999) is thus proposed. As a reminder, the beautiful Italian was the first large Ferrari equipped with a front engine since the legendary Daytona. If the Transalpine has more than 100,000 km on the odometer, the highest offer is currently set at 51,600 € ! To afford a piece of the legend of Cavallino, it’s reasonable. However, this Ferrari does not have a certificate of conformity or technical control.
The second beauty offered is much more recent since it is a Mclaren MP4-12C (2011). The Beast of Woking only shows 37,000 km for a prize of € 78,100. Not insignificant detail, the Briton has all her papers.
If you want to treat yourself to these beautiful machines, hurry up: the sale ends next Friday!
